“Kamazaki” knives, inspired by the masterful traditions of Samurai sword forging, are appreciated by top-class professionals and ambitious amateur chefs. They are made from innovative, stainless VG-10 Damascus steel consisting of 67 layers. This steel is highly resistant to corrosion and extremely hard – which is why the knife blades remain sharp for so long.
The “Kamazaki” knife blade is made from 67 layers of Japanese Damascus steel. The middle layer of the blade, known as the knife's core, is sharpened at an angle. The knife core is made from Japanese VG-10 steel, which is hardened to approximately 58±2 HRC.
The VG-10 core is the 67th central layer, protected by 66 other layers of steel, which not only protect the more brittle core but also create a distinctive design.
All “Kamazaki” knives perfectly combine handcrafted finishing and exceptional precision, perfectly sharpened blades that ensure unparalleled sharpness, and a well-balanced knife weight that prevents hand fatigue.
The “Kamazaki” utility knife is made from 67 layers of Damascus steel. It is distinguished by exceptional quality, outstanding sharpness, and durability. This utility knife is ideal for cutting vegetables, bread products, meat, or cheese.
